A holiday resort is a hospitality set up that has been started to provide different kinds of experiences to the customers who come to enjoy themselves especially when the holidays arrive. A resort has a lot of activities that go on from day to day because the people coming there need to be attended to while the whole business is still managed well to ensure that the income is being made. To ensure that everything is going as expected, a resort director is appointed to oversee every activity. There are many duties of the resort director.

The first responsibility of any resort director is organizing the lodging spaces that have been set aside for purposes of being used as sleeping and resting areas for all the people who check in for their holidays so that they can have a clean surrounding to rest. The same director is supposed to take charge of any bookings that are being made by ensuring that information about resting areas that have been booked and those remaining are compared so that every free room can be allocated to any new clients who are arriving for holiday expeditions.

The second role is to make sure that all the items required for the resort to operate well are supplied on time by any company which has been given that tender by the management of the resort. The things that are to be availed include all the foods and drinks which are to be served to customers as well as communication and security services that should be provided to ensure that the resort runs smoothly with easy coordination between relevant departments.

The third thing that the director of the resort does is to sit on the staff management team and ensure that processes such as employee hiring, firing, and suspension are done according to the policies put in place so that the people facilitating the running of the resort abide by the codes put in place. When the resort needs individuals with certain skills to come for interviews, the director will have to organize for all the resources needed for such and also training of the staff to gain more knowledge.

The last thing done by the director is being in charge of those who plan and implement the resort’s marketing processes with the objective of bringing in more clients when the holidays are approaching. The director is supposed to ensure that all resources required for a successful marketing campaign that will put the resort out there are availed in time.
